Country Quilt Studio offers a unique opportunity to learn longarm quilting techniques featuring the Quick Zip System©.

 I made my first quilt when I was in college (many years ago) and have been quilting in earnest for over 15 years.  Four years ago I bought my first longarm machine and really fell in love with quilting the quilt. It’s always been my goal to provide quality stitching at reasonable rates for my customers.  Almost exclusively the quilts that come to me are utility quilts, gifts for a new baby, graduation, wedding or to keep someone special very warm at night.  As a result, my specialty is pattern quilting.  I’m able to keep the cost reasonable and, with the new patterns that are coming out almost daily, produce a very beautiful product. 

 I try to attend at least one international machine quilting show a year, two if I can.  I particularly like IMQA’s Machine Quilting Showcase and Quilting on the Waterfront in Duluth, MN.  I’ve attended workshops taught by Marilyn Badger, Darlene Epp, Nancy Johnston and Sue Patten, Pam Clark and, most recently, Karen McTavish.  All these quilters are phenomenal in their field with so much to share.  Now my problem is finding the time to try out all the new ideas!  I hope to be able to invite some of these and other nationally known quilters to the Studio to teach us.

 I have opened the Studio to share my skills and equipment with those quilters who are interested in learning to quilt their own quilt tops.  I know you’re out there so be in touch, come and feel the immense satisfaction of a project finished.  Beginning classes are offered often, call or e-mail for dates and scheduling.
